Hillstream Loach

Notify me when this product is available:

Reticulated Hillstream Loaches are one of the most fascinating fish we have ever gotten in here at Flip Aquatics. Their unique body shape is absolutely stunning. They originate from fast moving streams therefore they prefer good water flow. We house ours using a matten filter to create flow. This creates good oxygen content and good flow although a power head would help too.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

These fish would go great with Bamboo Fan Shrimp as they both prefer water movement and originate from streams. Trying to recreate a stream with river stone will help these fish thrive.

The scientific name for the Reticulated Hillstream Loach is Pseudogastromyzon myersi or Sewellia lineolata although other species may get mixed in.

We feed our Hillstream Loaches a mix Northfin Veggie, Community and Fry Starter. Their preferred food is Northfin Kelp Wafers and natural algae or biofilm. They are not picky eaters and will accept foods that are small enough.

Hillstream Loach

These little guitar shaped fresh water stingrays without a sting that look like aliens and move like lizards are adorable. They came in healthy, and are fun to watch.

Hillstream loach

This loach is soo cute, it's very healthy & active, unlike the Hillstream loaches I've bought locally in my area & die the very next day. I'm very satisfied with my purchase & I'll continue to do business with Flip Aquatics.

The fish in these pictures is NOT the reticulated hillstream

There are many varieties of hillstream loach, these images are not of the reticulated (s.lineolata) it is the Chinese hillstream loach (p.cheni). Nice looking fish but not being sold under the right name.
