These fish would go great with Bamboo Fan Shrimp as they both prefer water movement and originate from streams. Trying to recreate a stream with river stone will help these fish thrive.
The scientific name for the Borneo Sucker Loach is Gastromyzon ctenocephalus .although other species can get mixed in.
We feed our loaches a mix Northfin Veggie, Community and Fry Starter. Their preferred food is Northfin Kelp Wafers and natural algae or biofilm. They are not picky eaters and will accept foods that are small enough.
Our Tank Parameters
Little guys came in happy and healthy. Love watching them bounce around the tank attacking algae.
The 4 borneo loaches I ordered arrived healthy and energetic. They are still doing well days later in my high tech planted shrimp tank. I was worried they wouldn’t survive transit or my in my aquarium but in both cases they seem to be fine. My experience buying livestock from Flip Aquatics was positive and I would definitely consider them among my first places to shop.
I ordered two to Las Vegas. They showed up timely and healthy with unique color patterns. They have been living in a quarantine tank for one week without issue.
