The Spotted Rasbora is an amazing fish with a great temperament. They are very timid so this makes them a great addition to a shrimp or snail tank. The Spotted Rasbora can reach length of just under 1 inch. Their scientific name is Boraras maculatus and their other common names are Pygmy Rasbora and Dwarf Spotted Rasbora.
We recommend keeping these fish in group of 10 or more due to their timid nature.
In nature, these fish come from slow moving black water streams. They prefer lots of leaves, wood and rock work. Therefore, these fish are the perfect addition to a well planted buffered aquarium (PH less than 7). In nature, the Spotted Rasbora feed on micro organism and small insects.

The Rasboras were super lively and very healthy looking. Very happy with the purchase. On a side note, at the last minute, I asked that 4 Explanation Point Rasboras to the order so I could save the extra shipping charge. Flip Aquatics came through for me, we are super happy with the fish and the Flip Aquatics team.
