10 Red Cherry Shrimp

Product Description

Please Note: These Imported Shrimp are still in quarantine. If bought, they will not ship until October 9th

Red Cherry Shrimp

You will receive ten (10) red cherry shrimp. We sell two type of cherry shrimp: imported and USA bred. Our imported cherry shrimp are mostly solid red and have amazing coloration. While our USA Bred cherry shrimp are much hardier, they lack in color. Either option, you will not be disappoint with Flip Aquatics cherry shrimp.

Cherry shrimp in general have been in the hobby for a long time. They are accustomed to aquarium life and therefore are the easiest pet shrimp to keep and breed. The cherry shrimp is the best beginner aquarium shrimp.

New to the Hobby

If you are new to the shrimp hobby, buy the USA Bred cherry shrimp as they are very tolerable to a wide range of parameters. We have kept and bred these shrimp in some terrible conditions. They are the best dwarf shrimp for a beginner.

If you have been keeping aquariums for some time, I would suggest getting the imported cherry shrimp. The color on the imported shrimp is better than most red Neocaridina shrimp in the USA hobby. Most shrimp we sell are completely red meaning they are a Fire Red or Painted Fire Red grade of cherry shrimp.

Grading Cherry Shrimp

The grading of cherry shrimp is as follows. Cherry shrimp in general refers to the lowest grade of Red Neocaridina aquarium shrimp. Regular cherry shrimp are generally pretty clear. Sakura cherry shrimp are a more intense red color. While still possessing clear patches, Sakura shrimp are more solid in color than regular cherry shrimp. Fire red shrimp is the next grade and refers to shrimp that are completely red. Painted Fire Red shrimp are the last and highest grade. Painted fire red shrimp are completely solid in color and have no transparent patches. Painted fire red shrimp usually have red legs as well.

First Shrimp

Got the shrimp a few days ago, they are my first foray into aquatic shrimp. They have done really well, and with only one loss. The packaging was great, and the shrimp are now the favorite part of my aquarium!

Good quality shrimp (imported)

This was my second cherry shrimp order from Flip Aquatics. The shrimp arrived on time and in great shape (had a few babies in the bag as well). Over the next few days, I had a few loose but I expected that. Even though cherry shrimp are hardy you can never know the conditions they go through while at the hands of the postal service. I am pleased with the quality of the shrimp and will be ordering more shrimp and food from Rob & Amanda over the next few months.

Great Shrimp and Service

I order my first group Cherry Shrimp from Flip Aquatics and my entire experience was great. They even adjusted the shipping day so I could be home when my package arrived.

10 Red Cherry Shrimp

Great Cherry Shrimp!

They sent more then ordered. I know they are from soft water and use R/O. I will tell everyone this. My water is very hard and high PH. KH is only 1-2, GH is about 320 +/-, Temp 74, PH stays about 7.8-8.2, depending on tap and time of year.
After two hours acclimation on the Red's and Blue's(two different tanks), they are still doing fine a month later. There were a few DOA in the bag(s), but none were lost that arrived alive(more then 95%). The only question will be in my water if they breed? But they certainly are living well, I see them all the time eating. Matter of fact, when they get the Blue Dreams back in stock, I'll be getting at least 10 more!
