The Paleatus Cory is one of our favorite Corydoras species. The Paleatus Cory is commonly called the Peppered Cory or Salt and Pepper Cory. They show their best behavior while shoaling in groups of 2 or more fish. The Pepper Cory is extremely peaceful making it a great addition to any community tank and even most shrimp tanks. They reach a max size of around 2.5 inches.
Paleatus Cories have a great peppered coloration that is sure to standout on any light colored substrate. Corydoras species prefer a sand substrate as they enjoy scavenging for food. It is also less abrasive to their barbels making sand the best long term substrate solution for the Corydoras family.
We feed our Paleatus Corys a large variety of foods which include finely ground Northfin flake foods, small Northfin pellets (veggie, community, & bug pro), frozen foods and occasionally blackworms.
Our Tank Parameters
I had ordered more Paleatus corydoras to add to the school I already had. 2 did not make it but the rest were strong and healthy and of a good size. I can always count on Flip Aquatics for great shipping and great customer service!
Again, very pleased with the fish. They’re healthy and doing a great job of cleaning the substrate. Would purchase again.
I got my Paleatus Corys in the mail healthy as can be. They are so cute and are very active and healthy. I am very happy with them!
They are beautiful fish so very active. They are all over the tank never missed a beat you would of thought they have always lived here.
Fish arrived in great condition and went to work immediately looking for food on the bottom, when added to the aquarium. Wonderful color pattern and they exhibit such a docile & gentle behavior.
