N Class Endlers

Product Description

N Class Endlers are unique in that the strain has originated from Venezuela and have not had any hybridization. Careful records are kept establishing that they come from an original strain from Venezuela.  Endlers were rediscovered by Dr. John Endler in 1975.  Most of those fish were then crossed and the pure strains were lost.  In recent years they have been again collected from Venezuela, which is how N Class Endlers strains were established. There are many types of N Class Endlers.

Male Endlers have an amazing variety of colors. They are generally smaller than a guppy as they grow to the adult size of 0.75 to 1 inch for the male. Females are larger, usually growing to 1 to 1.25 inches.  They look a lot like a small guppy, but they should not be kept with guppies or other livebearers if the young are to be sold since they will hybridize.   They are omnivores so they eat meat as well as vegetables.  They are easy to care for an make a great addition to a nano aquarium.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

To replicate their natural habitat, the use of rock work, plants, and driftwood should be included in the aquarium. They also enjoy tannins in their water, so the use of Indian Almond or Guava leaves is highly recommended. We would not recommend keeping this fish with shrimp colonies due to the likeliness of the endler eating baby shrimp and potentially picking at adult shrimp.

They are omnivores by nature. We feed our Endlers a mix of frozen foods including daphnia, baby brine, cyclops, and bloodworms and a mix of Northfin foods such as Flake, Community and Veggie.

      Quality fish, super cute!

I'm impressed by how active and healthy looking their livestock is. I also purchased some red cherry shrimp, and all the fish/shrimp arrived alive and looking great, I will definitely order again whenever I have more space.

The little male thinks he's a whale and has been all over since day one. The two females spent a couple days hiding, but have since got over it and they swim everywhere as a group of three now.
