Lambchop Rasboras

Lambchop Rasboras, Trigonostigma espei, are a perfect little pop of color for a peaceful freshwater tank. These fish get their name from the bold patch on their body that looks a bit like a tiny lambchop… and honestly, once you see it, you can’t unsee it!

Staying around 1.5-2 inches as adults, Lambchop Rasboras are a great choice for nano community aquariums, planted tanks, and peaceful setups. They may be small, but their color really stands out, especially when they are kept in a group.

Like most rasboras, Lambchop Rasboras do best in groups of 6 or more. The larger the group, the more comfortable they feel, and the more you’ll get to see that fun schooling behavior as they move through the tank together. They look especially good against live plants, driftwood, and botanicals.
