Harlequin Rasbora | Rasbora Heteromorpha

Rendering loop-subscriptions

The Harlequin Rasbora, Rasbora heteromorpha, is very stunning nano fish. Reaching a max size of about 1-1.75inch, these fish are a great addition to any community tank. They have an amazing coloration of orange while having a pork chop shaped dark patch toward their tail.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

Like most nano fish, the Harlequin Rasbora does best in groups of 10. They prefer to have open space to switch in the aquarium. In nature they come from soft acidic water. Leaves, driftwood and cones come in handy to reproduce their natural habitat. They are very hardy and accept a wide range of parameters.

We feed these guys a mix of frozen daphnia, baby brine and cyclops, in addition to a mix of Northfin foods.

Healthy Harlequins

I ordered 4 Harlequins to add to an existing school of 6 that I had already, but I am beginning to wonder if the 6 I originally had were actually Lambchop Rasbora, because they are much more orange in comparison to the new group, who are more of a pale orangey pink. Either way, the new 4 arrived healthy, just a little pale, and ate and explored right away - no dead on arrival and no deaths in first 2 weeks. Within a few days they seemed to have integrated into my existing group and eat voraciously with the others. Since they are still young and not fully colored, it's hard to tell if they are the same variety as the school they joined, but either way, they all seem to get along and school fine together so I am happy and hope they are too. Flip's shipping is always impeccable and I really appreciate their quarantine procedure so you know you are getting as healthy fish as possible. This is my third fish purchase and would use them again.

Great service

Well this was my first time ordering fish online, and was uncertain of the condition they would come in. They did a wonderful job packing them and getting them to me, very health and good looking, I couldn't have picked out better looking fish myself. Thank you for the great service and look forward to doing business with you in the future.

Happy and Healthy

Responsibly packed and even came with an extra! Theyre all beautiful, active, and curious. I did have a small issue with some sort of disease on the mouths of a few, but this can happen when fish are highly stressed (like being shipped). It was easily treated, in no small part due to the quality of fish Flip provides.

Harlequin Rasbora

Beautiful coloration on these sprite little fish. The striking contrast between the black triangle and gold body make them look as if they are formally dressed for a fish celebration. They look beautiful swimming around the tank as a school. I’m thrilled with these in my fish family.
