Golden Pencilfish, Nannostomus beckfordi are small fish that grow to about 2 inches long. Their bodies have a thin dark stripe down their side that resemble that of a pencil. You’ll love watching them glide through the water, weaving in and out of plants as they explore their home.
These peaceful fish do best in a planted tank with lots of hiding spots and gentle water flow. They get along well with tetras, gouramis, and other calm species. Golden Pencilfish swim in schools, so keep at least 6 togetherto see their true beauty and feel more secure. With stable water and regular feedings of flakes and tiny live foods, they’ll stay healthy and active.
