They enjoy the water to be stained with tannins (Almond leaves would be perfect as cover as well). Some floating plants such as Salvinia also give them a sense of calm. Java Moss is great to give the eggs and fry cover since the adults will try and eat them.

The Forktail Blue-Eye Rainbowfish is one of the most beautiful species of freshwater aquarium fish. Known for its bright blue eyes and vibrant colors, it is a popular choice for home aquariums. This Rainbowfish prefers to be kept in small groups of 8-10 individuals.  We feed them a large variety of foods which include finely ground Northfin flake foods, small Northfin pellets (veggie, community, & bug pro), frozen foods.

Their scientific name is Pseudomugil furcatus.

So I ordered these Forktail Blue eye Rainbow fish and they are amazing little fish I just love the blue eyes they just stand out. Cant wait until they get adult size for their true colors to show

These 3 are so very tiny but active top swimmers. Colors are increasing with time BUT those blue eyes adre amazing!!
