The Ember Tetra is an absolute stunning nano fish with very bold orange and hints of red for color. Ember Tetras truly stand out in a planted aquarium. It is important to provide hiding places for these fish as they can get stressed out. We recommend rock and driftwood to create caves and crevices. Thick plant vegetation will also give Ember Tetras plentiful places to hide.
The Ember Tetra will reach sizes of about 1.25 inches. They are pretty peaceful although we would not recommend keeping them with shrimp. Ember Tetras also prefer small live foods so baby shrimp would become an easy target.
The scientific name for the Ember Tetra is Hyphessobrycon amandae.
What Do Ember Tetras Eat?
We feed the Ember Tetras a variety of NorthFin food such has the, Community Food. We also feed them brine and can be fed daphnia!
How Big do Ember tetras Get?

Arrived alive and seem to be doing well.
Ordered 8, received 9. Everyone appears to be in good health. They are of decent size too. I was nervous to order due to the winter weather, but the heat pack kept everyone warm during transit. Outside was 35 degrees, their water was 68 degrees. After acclimating to the new tank everyone colored up quickly.
Everyone arrived healthy despite the New England Temps. Got an extra bonus fish in this pack as well!
