Drape Fin Barb Fish

Drape Fin Barbs are peaceful fish that show off a tall, flowing dorsal fin that catches the eye. They swim calmly and won’t chase their tank mates away from food, making them a great choice for any community aquarium. These barbs feel most at home in a planted tank where they can explore and hide. These fish grow to just 2 inches, so they fit great in any community tank. They do best in groups, if you want to see their true colors and natural behavior when they swim together.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with FedEx Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

The scientific name of the Drape Fin Barb is Oreichthys crenuchoides.

We feed our Barbs a mix of frozen foods, including daphnia, baby brine, cyclops, and Bloodworms, live foods such as baby brine & black worms, and a mix of NorthFin flake foods.

    Alive and well

I ordered about 16 fish. Perfectly packaged thankfully because UPS was around 16 hours late. Happy to say all are alive and well in both tanks. Definitely recommend!

    Beautiful Fish

Very peaceful. A little skittish at first. I bought 5 - one jumped out of the tank but the rest are chill especially when they passed quarantine and headed to the big tank - so you might benefit from a lid at least until you see how they act in your aquarium. Love their silvery color, markings, and adorable black eyes. They haven't gotten their big fins yet, but they are perfect for my nano tank of cardinals, kubatai, green neons, and ottos.
