Black Flame Endlers, sometimes called Black Fire Endlers, are prized for their deep black coloration that starts at the middle of their body and extends into their tail. Their tail fins glow with red lines that look like flames, and many fish also show hints of red or blue on their bodies. In top-quality specimens, the black pattern covers most of the body, making the fiery tail markings stand out even more.
These peaceful livebearers thrive in small groups and fit well into community tanks. They do best in water kept between 75–82°F with a pH of 7.0–8.0 and accept flakes, pellets, frozen treats, and live foods. Adding floating plants or aquatic moss gives fry places to hide and boosts breeding success. With moderate lighting and a planted setup, Black Flame Endlers will display their full range of bold colors.
We feed our fish a mix of frozen, live and prepared foods including live baby brine and black worms. We also supplement their diet with a mix of Northfin Veggie, Community and Bug Pro.
