Spotted Rasbora

Rendering loop-subscriptions

The Spotted Rasbora is an amazing fish with a great temperament. They are very timid so this makes them a great addition to a shrimp or snail tank. The Spotted Rasbora can reach length of just under 1 inch. Their scientific name is Boraras maculatus and their other common names are Pygmy Rasbora and Dwarf Spotted Rasbora.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

We recommend keeping these fish in group of 10 or more due to their timid nature.

In nature, these fish come from slow moving black water streams. They prefer lots of leaves, wood and rock work. Therefore, these fish are the perfect addition to a well planted buffered aquarium (PH less than 7). In nature, the Spotted Rasbora feed on micro organism and small insects.

Small but elegant

Fish were extremely well packed and came through in terrific shape. After acclimatization settled in quickly with their new tank mates. They are not like any other fish in the tank, extremely curious as they explore every corner and niche in the aquarium, are constantly on the move and readily accept flake, frozen and live foods as long as it's small enough for their little mouths. . Really doing well from the git go.

All came alive and healthy. Originally thought these were bigger but then I loved it’s small size. I ended up moving them from my main tank to my shrimp tank because I did see one of my serpae tetra try and attack one. They’re doing good with the shrimp and don’t bother them at all and they also do not eat the shrimp fry. These things are tinyyy
