The Albino Bristlenose Pleco is very popular in the aquarium hobby. Also known as an Albino Bushynose catfish for the appendages that sprout from their snout once they reach maturity. These fish are covered in boney plates and their mouths are on the bottom of their bodies which makes them excellent algae eaters! These fish are locally bred and are not imports. They are usually about 2 inches when shipped. They reach a max size of around 5 inches.
The Albino Bristlenose Pleco that we sell makes an awesome addition to any community tank. They are very docile fish that get along well with almost anything that you put in your tank. They also make for a nice cleaner fish as they love eating algae and combing thru substrate picking it clean of any debris or food residue left behind by other fish. These fish are very hardy.
The scientific name for the Albino Bristlenose Pleco is Ancistrus sp.
We feed our Albino Bristlenose Pleco a mix of Northfin Veggie and Community. Their main food is Northfin Kelp Wafers and unsalted green beans.

He’s so busy!
He arrived smaller than I’d expected but absolutely perfect! He’s grown a ton already and is really gorgeous, happy and healthy.
The only thing that survived
I just got one of these and a regular bristlenose in today. The Albino was closer to 1 inch and the regular is at about 2 inches. Both seem to be doing well and look healthy.
I ordered four pelco's and love them. they are doing great!
