Peppered Cory | Corydoras Paleatus

Rendering loop-subscriptions

The Paleatus Cory is one of our favorite Corydoras species. The Paleatus Cory is commonly called the Peppered Cory or Salt and Pepper Cory. They show their best behavior while shoaling in groups of 2 or more fish. The Pepper Cory is extremely peaceful making it a great addition to any community tank and even most shrimp tanks. They reach a max size of around 2.5 inches.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

Paleatus Cories have a great peppered coloration that is sure to standout on any light colored substrate. Corydoras species prefer a sand substrate as they enjoy scavenging for food. It is also less abrasive to their barbels making sand the best long term substrate solution for the Corydoras family.

We feed our Paleatus Corys a large variety of foods which include finely ground Northfin flake foods, small Northfin pellets (veggie, community, & bug pro), frozen foods and occasionally blackworms.

I Love My Peppered Corys!

I bought these 3 little Peppered Corys about a week ago today, and I love them dearly! Unfortunately, one of them passed away 2 days after I got them. Sadly, I found him/her lifeless in my tank in the morning after I turned the light on for the day. I don't know what the reason is. The other two Corys are quite active and busy, as well as the 3 Kuhli Loaches and the trio (plus one extra) of Nerite snails I ordered along with them. They also get along fine with the Rainbow Guppies who they share the tank with.
I've ordered fish and snails a few times now, from Flip Aquatics, and they never disappoint. In a few months, I plan on adding a few more Peppered Corys and Kuhli Loaches to the family I have in there now!

My corys arrived happy and healthy, even in hot weather. They've acclimated nicely and are a joy to watch in my tank!

Paleatus Cory

What a cute fish for a bottom feeder. The four arrived quickly and healthy. They seem very happy in my 30 gallon aquarium.
