Babaulti shrimp are a diverse group with very little research however, what we do know is that the majority of shrimp within this species come from India. While they are considered Caridina Shrimp, they are much hardier than a typical Caridina and can often adjust to neocaridina parameters. The cool thing about these shrimp is they can come in a variety of colors like brown, green, yellow, red, and my favorite - the Sunkist orange color, and some even have zebra stripes!

For now, we’re going to highlight the Zebra Babulti and the Green Babulti.

The Zebra Babaulti 

The Zebra Babaultiare absolutely stunning shrimp. They are a wild color form and breed easily in freshwater. They are hardy and are a great alternative to Neocaridinashrimp as they don’t require special attention. They tend to be accepting of a multitude of water parameters including Neocaridina parameters.

The Green Babaulti

The care for Green Babaulti shrimp is similar in care to the Zebra babulti. While these rare Green Babaulti Shrimp may have little to no coloring as juveniles, they color up nicely as they become adults. Don't let the name fool you though. While they can be completely green, most of them also have a Sunkist orange coloring layered over the top of their primarily green bodies. Regardless, they are a great way to add a pop of color to your aquarium!

• Wood and Botanicals: Alder Cones, Malaysian Driftwood, Java Moss, and Indian Almond Leaves
