Guava leaves are similar to Indian Almond leaves in an aquarium. They break down slow in the water and cause biofilm to grow. They will also release tannins into the water column which will help fight off bacterial infections. Guava lease are known to prevent Bacteria Vibrio which is a known cause of many shrimp diseases. They can be added directly the aquarium or to soften and sink more quickly they can be boiled for 5 minutes.
The guava leaves are smaller than most Indian almond leaves so they are good for nano tanks/small spaces. Shrimps and snails really like them!
Good condition, didn’t release a lot of tannins in my water
These have a great look to them and last a lot longer than the almond leaves. Shrimp seem to enjoy scavenging on them and they add to the look of your tank
I received my leaves in perfect condition!
