The Sanke Koi Swordtail stands out with its bold mix of orange, white, and black patches that resemble classic Koi coloration. Males have the signature long “sword” tail, while females are rounder in shape. They grow to about 4–6 inches and often swim near the top of the tank, so we recommend a lid or lowering your water level.
Koi Sanke Swordtails are peaceful and do well in groups with calm tankmates but should be kept away from fin-nippers. We hold each swordtail for at least two weeks before shipping to ensure they’re healthy and ready for your aquarium.
Sanke Koi Swordtails are omnivores. We feed them a mix of frozen, live, and prepared foods, including live baby brine and daphnia. We also supplement their diet with a mix of Northfin Veggie, Community, and Bug Pro.
