Mint Charlie

Mint Charlie is a fast growing, beginner friendly aquarium plant that adds a soft, natural look to planted aquariums. Its small, light green leaves and creeping growth make it an excellent choice for filling in the midground or background while creating depth and texture throughout your aquascape. As it grows, Mint Charlie can be easily trimmed and shaped!

Mint Charlie grows well under moderate lighting and doesn't need CO2 although added CO2 and regular fertilization will encourage faster, fuller growth. Its rapid growth also helps absorb excess nutrients from the water column, making it a great companion plant in established freshwater aquariums. With regular trimming, it can be kept dense and compact or allowed to spread into a lush, natural backdrop.

Mint Charlie is an easy to grow stem plant that thrives in a variety of freshwater aquariums. Plant the stems directly into the substrate, leaving a little space between each stem to encourage healthy growth and spreading. As the plant matures, regular trimming will help maintain a bushier appearance, and the trimmed stems can be replanted to quickly grow even more plants.
