MicroBacter Start XLF

Starting a new tank? Had a filter crash? Cleaned a little too hard? MicroBacter Start XLF is one of those products that is great to have around just in case.

This is a super concentrated live nitrifying bacteria that helps get your biological filtration going and helps bring ammonia and nitrite down fast. It is made for cycling new freshwater aquariums, but it is also really helpful after medications, major cleanings, overcrowding, or anything else that may have messed with the good bacteria in your filter.

It is 15x strength, so a little goes a long way. Brightwell says most tanks can cycle in around 5-7 days when used as directed, but always test your water before adding more fish. Zero ammonia and nitrite is the goal!

Shake well before using, make sure your water is properly dechlorinated, and dose in an area with good flow. It is normal for it to smell a little earthy, have some clumps, or make your water cloudy for a bit. That is just the live bacteria doing their thing.
