Red Rubin Sword

Rendering loop-subscriptions

Echinodorus Rubin is similar to other Echinodorus variations in its easiness to keep. This variation can provide you with a variety of coloration including (red, purple, gold, green, and dark green) depending on the water parameters. More commonly they will display yellow veins and have a non smooth texture to their leaves.

This species of plant thrives best using a nutrient rich soil with additional fertilization (our preference is the Brightwell line of soil which can be found by clicking here). If not provided  with enough nutrients, it can decrease the ability of this plant to spread. The use of CO2 in the aquarium will increase the plants ability to grow but is not necessary.

*Rapid changes in tank parameters can result in the melting of the plant

You will receive one (1) potted plant, Portion size may vary.

Scientific Name: Echinodorus "Rubrin"

Light Requirements: Medium/High

Care Level: Medium

Note: Please do additional research on your plant to ensure its health. This plant can be grown emersed. Propagation of this plant takes place via adventitious shoots.

*All Plants may contain snails or snail eggs. We keep them in all of our tanks for the benefits they provide.*

Arrived healthy and already partially transitioned

Arrived in good shape and already had a few new submerged grown leaves instead of all emersed leaves. It’s been about 10 days and they’re still doing well, putting out several new leaves for me. I put them into an older planted tank-rubins are the ones near the front with red hue and no algae yet.
