Echinodorus Red Flame is similar to other Echinodorus variations in its easiness to keep. This variation will provide you with great red color under the correct conditions. If using an inert substrate it is wise to supplement with root tab fertilizers underneath the plant.
This species of plant thrives best using a nutrient rich soil with additional fertilization (our preference is the Brightwell line of soil which can be found by clicking here). If not provided with enough nutrients, it can decrease the ability of this plant to spread. The use of CO2 in the aquarium will increase the plants ability to grow but is not necessary.
*Rapid changes in tank parameters can result in the melting of the plantYou will receive one (1) potted plant, Portion size may vary.

Good size health and color. No melt back and adapting well to it's new home.
plant arrived super healthy and larger than expected
Plant was larger than expected and colorful!
Only reason I am giving one star is because the picture they show online is a full grow. Beautiful red veined plant and I got this puny plant with 6 leaves of which two had holes and were yellow. I was trying to get a showpiece plant for my planted aquarium and it had me thinking. My plants blow this away maybe I should start growing and selling aquarium plants. Maybe with fertilizer and time it will grow into a beautiful plant but for the price not worth it. If you want to purchase plants online order from Buce plant they have huge selection and prices are good and plants come looking like there pictures online
