Echinodorus barthii is similar to other Echinodorus variations in its easiness to keep. This variation will provide you with great contrast or red and green leaves to provide a natural look and great hiding place for your tank inhabitants.
This species of plant thrives best using a nutrient rich soil with additional fertilization (our preference is the Brightwell line of soil which can be found by clicking here). If not provided with enough nutrients, it can decrease the ability of this plant to spread. The use of CO2 in the aquarium will increase the plants ability to grow but is not necessary.
*Rapid changes in tank parameters can result in the melting of the plantYou will receive one (1) potted plant, Portion size may vary.

I ordered two red melon swords and they arrived healthy with no holes and with thick, strong leaves - happy with purchase
I ordered several small plants for my nano aquariums and 3 Clown Killifish. All were amazingly packaged.
I only bought one plant, a Red Melon Sword and one fish, a Pea Puffer. Both arrived in excellent condition and health. I did not buy a heater pack because I live in Florida, but we had a, non-typical cold front and they included the heater pack for the Puffer anyway! Absolutely cannot say enough good things about this company!
I dont know how to post a pic but this plant came in beautiful. I dont know how else to say it. I also appreciate their customer service
