Dwarf Hair Grass - Eleocharis parvula

Dwarf hair grass is a great plant for the foreground of an aquarium. They grow at a steady rate and spread through runners. This plant is unique in its resemblance to natural grass. Provided the right nutrients and parameters with trimming and planting, you can have your own underwater lawn.

This plant will spread and grow faster provided a nutrient rich soil (our favorite soils can be found by clicking here.), CO2, and high lighting. Try to keep water parameters stable or this plant might melt.

You will receive one (1) potted plant. Portion size may vary.

Scientific Name: Eleocharis parvula

Light Requirements: Medium/High

Care Level: Easy/Medium

*All Plants may contain snails or snail eggs. We keep them in all of our tanks for the benefits they provide.*

Growing great

Has been growing great and have been shooting runners.

Off to a good start!

I picked up the plant from the Post Office the day that it arrived. It was about 4-5" tall. The color looked good and green. It was a little finicky to keep it in the substrate, but eventually it stayed put. I trimmed it down to about 1 1/2" in length from the base before planting in the substrate. After 5 days in the tank, several blades have already begun to grow about 1/2". Very happy with this plant so far!
