Shrimp Aquarium Cinnamon Bark increases the vitality and wellbeing of your aquarium inhabitants in a purely natural way. Valuable tannins, various essential oils, and humic substances contribute to good water quality and protect and care for your shrimps, crayfish, and other aquarium inhabitants.
What are the benefits of Shrimp Aquarium Cinnamon Bark?
The dried cinnamon bark is not only used by shrimps, crayfish, crabs, snails, and fish (e.g. sucking catfish) as a shelter, hiding and spawning place, but also as a valuable source of dietary fiber. This makes cinnamon bark an excellent addition to your aquascape to benefit aquatic lifeforms, but also because of its unique reddish coloring.
Why Shrimp Aquarium Cinnamon Bark?
The Shrimp Aquarium Cinnamon Bark is made of real Ceylon cinnamon, which is free of coumarin. Cassia cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), which is often sold by aquarium hobbyists and is often available in craft shops, contains very harmful doses of the substance coumarin. Coumarin is suspected of causing liver and kidney damage as well as cancer in high doses.
How to use Shrimp Aquarium Cinnamon Bark?
We recommend adding about 5 sticks of cinnamon bark per 15 gallons of water in your tank, as the cinnamon may lower the pH of your water slightly. While this does have its beneficial effects, lowering the pH too far may negatively impact the wellbeing of your fish.
