Caridina GH+ - Establishes Mineral Balance in Purified (RO/DI) and Soft Water
This is more an overall review since I've been trying really hard to get back to y'all! So shrimp have been hard to find and expensive. I want to thank who ever packed my lil friends an all the rest of you. My Zen Tank is looking so Cool now. It's jus shrimp and under water legos i.e. scuba guys sharks angle fish. My Dude Loves it.
So I’m just starting this new tank, this is the first time I use caridina GH+ and so far it’s made everything easy, 1 pump and just testing the water every other day and it was able to establish the correct parameters. Happy to continue using it on this tanks journey
Now I just need some gh/kh
This product took a lot of squirts to reach the expected hardness that I want in my shrimp tank. I would recommend sticking with other dry salt based products.
I really wanted this to be a good/easy product for my crystal red shrimp... it's just not what it's advertised to be on the bottle. 1 pump should bring 20gal rodi water to 1dGH as per the bottles instructions. I do a 2gal. water change every 2 weeks, it took 4 pumps to get 3gallons (I always premix a little extra) to 3dGH. Plus to get the dGH any higher I would be pushing the TDS too high leaving no room for frets. Maybe I'm seriously overlooking something but the reviews for the Gh/Kh version read almost the same. Sorry, I wanted it to be good too, but it just doesn't compare to Salty Shrimp. P.s. if you do buy this just throw the pump top away and use a pipette, the pump is leaky and not too accurate.
