Anubias Hastifolia is a beginner friendly aquatic plant. Requiring little light and no CO2, Anubias Hastifolia is a great option for all hobbyists. Anubias Hastifolia has much broader leaves than other Anubias. The leaves on Anubias Hastifolia also form into a triangular shape which makes for a great focal point of an aquarium. The Anubias Hastifolia plant grows by having a horizontal rhizome and producing vertical leaves.
When planting Anubias Hastifolia, do not bury the rhizome in your substrate. Much like other Anubias, Anubias Hastifolia can be easily attached to driftwood or rocks. You can also plant Anubias Hastifolia, however, make sure the horizontal rhizome or stem is above the substrate. Anubias Hastifolia can also be easily propagated by cutting the rhizome into smaller sections. We recommend leaving 2-3 leaves per section. Moving the cutting to another area will allow both cuttings to keep growing.
