Rotala Rotundifolia Red

Rendering loop-subscriptions

Rotala rotundifolia Red is an easy to keep stem plant similar to Rotala indica. To achieve the red coloration, the addition of iron and a plant fertilizer is recommended. This is a fast growing plant so frequent trimming is recommended. Like all stem plants, you can replant the trimming to start new plants. Rotala rotundifolia Red originates from from Southeast Asia. The plant is best used as in mid or background placement.

Keep in mind that the coloration, size, and shape of this plant are subject to the conditions the plants are kept. The leaves on Rotala species can be fragile and it is recommended they are handled with care.

Use of a high quality planted tank substrate like Brightwell shrimp soil and CO2 injection can help yield better growth.

*Rapid changes in tank parameters can result in the melting of the plant

You will receive one (1) bunch that usually includes 3-5 stems of this plant. Portion size may vary.

Scientific Name: Rotala rotundifolia "red"

Light Requirements: Medium to High

Care Level: Easy/Medium

Note: Please do additional research on your plant to ensure its health. Propagation of Rotala is similar to all other stem plants: cut the stem and replant into the substrate.

*All Plants may contain snails or snail eggs. We keep them in all of our tanks for the benefits they provide.*

Great plants!

Ordered four bunches and portions were very generous, they've already started to get new crimson growth after a week and a half! Definitely recommend

Great Condition

I don't know how fragile the leaves are supposed to be, but my plants came in perfect condition. For my order, the money was definitely worth it for how many stems/plants I got for 50-60 bucks with shipping. Plus, the Swedish Fish included was the best!

I purchased Dwarf Water Lettuce, Rotala Rotundifolia Red and Ludwigia repens 'Red'. They arrived quickly and healthy with generous amounts. Nice selection, great experience.
