Endler's Livebearers (Poecilia wingei) are one of the most popular freshwater aquarium fish due to their brilliant colors and peaceful community nature. Males exhibit a kaleidoscope of colors including green, blue, red, yellow, and black in various patterns across their bodies and flowing fins. Females are less flamboyant but still attractive with yellowish-green coloration. Both sexes only reach around 1 inch in length when mature, making them perfect for nano aquariums.
Endler's are extremely prolific livebearers and breed readily in the aquarium with little intervention required. This makes them a great choice for those looking to breed their own fish and experience the miracle of live birth. They are peaceful community fish that do best when kept in schools of 6 or more. Provide them with a well-planted aquarium of at least 10 gallons. With proper care, Endler's Livebearers can live 2-3 years, bringing a constant burst of color to any community tank.
We feed our fish a mix of frozen, live and prepared foods including live baby brine and black worms. We also supplement their diet with a mix of Northfin Veggie, Community and Bug Pro.
