Dwarf Emerald Rasbora

Dwarf Emerald Rasbora or Microrasbora erythromicron are stunning nano species of Microrasbora that come from Myanmar. This small fish is incredibly peaceful and tends to be shy in small numbers. Dwarf Emerald Rasbora are a shoaling fish that do well in planted setups. Their beautiful hues of teal and blue with accents of red and orange make them stand out in any aquarium.

We recommend keeping these fish in group of 6 or more due to their timid nature.

In nature, these fish come from the lakes where vegetation grows thick. Therefore, these fish are the perfect addition to a well planted aquarium. They prefer more alkaline water but will adapt to acidic setups. In nature, the Dwarf Emerald Rasbora feed on micro organisms and small insects like daphnia.

Very shy, but fun to watch.

I have a small, 9 gal., planted aquarium with shrimp. Six months ago I purchased 5 of the Dwarf Emerald Rasboras. They arrived alive and healthy. About two months ago I spotted 2 tiny fry and about two weeks later 2 more tiny fry appeared. I was afraid the parents or shrimp would eat them, but I didn’t have any place to separate them, so left them in the tank. They stayed close together, close to the surface. They have now grown big enough to start schooling with the adults. It’s been so fun to watch them grow.

Very shy

Cool looking nano fish, but they are very very very shy haha. I'm sure they are still getting comfortable with their new environment. Still satisfied.

active

DER are very active but shy. When I go to one side of the aquarium they move to the other side so it is difficult to watch them. All seem healthy.
