Chili Rasbora | Mosquito Rasbora

Chili Rasboras (Boraras brigittae), also called Mosquito Rasboras, are cute, tiny nano fish from Southeast Asia. They grow to about 1 inch and stay peaceful with shrimp and other fish. These guys are known for their vibrant color and active schooling, making them a lively addition to any tank. This species is suitable for community freshwater aquariums. They like soft water and stable water parameters with a temperature between 72-78 °F. Give them plenty of live plants, hiding spots, and driftwood to encourage their natural behavior. Providing these conditions makes their colors even more intense and helps them feel secure. Feed them high quality flakes, soft pellets, or frozen and live worms.

We sell mostly captive-bred chili rasboras, rarely wild fish, so you get healthy hardy stock. These have been very popular, with many already sold to happy aquarists. We have extensive experience keeping Chili Rasboras healthy and stress-free through our 14+ day quarantine process, ensuring they arrive in top condition. We keep young fish in our inventory and ship via overnight with UPS, note shipping delays can happen, but we do our best to ship fast. Each item is carefully packed for safe arrival, and please review our shipping and return policy before purchasing. Start with groups of 10 or more to natural schooling behavior in your tanks.

Ordered 8 Chili Rasboras for a 10 gallon nano tank, received 9. All arrived healthy, active and are enjoying the company of trumpet snails and cherry shrimp.

Cute

I ordered 22 chilis, all arrived very well, alive, and alert. They have all survived the few weeks I have had them. Great fish, more active than I had imagined. They are kind of mellowing out now and getting comfortable and are very fun to watch. They actually enjoy the company of cherry red shrimp and Pygmy corydoras, they hang out together. Never expected that, very cute. Thank you.

Came in healthy, one was a bit skinnier and I thought I’d lose it overnight but they all looked great by the morning.
