Tetras are naturally omnivorous, feeding predominantly on small invertebrates,
crustacea, algae, and fruit. We feed a mix of live foods including live baby brine shrimp, blackworms, bloodworms, and Daphnia. We supplement their diet with Northfin Veggie, Community, and Bug Pro to ensure a balanced and nutritious diet.
Our Tank Parameters
We bought a school of gold tetra from our local fish store, and we lost all but one of them for no apparent reason- no signs of illness, just swimming, eating, happy- dead. We decided to try again, ordering from Flip this time, so our poor lonely gold tetra didn't have to pretend to be a Kerri tetra anymore, and I am SO HAPPY that we did!
This glimmering school of fishies bring so much sparkle and joy to our tank. It is so helpful that Flip provides water parameters so we knew that we had a good match for them joining our crew, and they adjusted flawlessly. Our previous school was so shy, but these guys are ALWAYS right up front, schooling like champions, and begging for food! They are adorable and mesmerizing to watch.
I also ordered a bunch of Endlers for a separate tank, and they are also doing (sorry) SWIMMINGLY! I have not lost a single fish from either group. We will definitely order from Flip again!
