Gold Dojo Loach

Rendering loop-subscriptions

The Gold Dojo Loach is a unique tropical fish that can be added to a wide variety of aquariums. This fish is unique in its bright gold coloration over its entire body. This fish can be housed with a wide variety of tank mates especially nano and non-aggressive species. This fish can reach sizes of up to 6 inches.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

This fish is a peaceful and active omnivorous species that originates in cool rivers, lakes, and ponds in Asia. We recommend a tank size of 20 gallons or more as they like to scavenge the tank for leftover food. The Dojo loach also makes a great tank mate for fancy goldfish as they can handle the lower temperatures.

We do not recommend keeping dojo loaches with dwarf shrimp due to their large mouths and the risk of them eating baby/adult shrimp.

We feed our Gold Dojo Loaches with freshly hatched baby brine shrimp, green beans, and Northfin Bug Pro Crisps.

Two arrived in great condition, very healthy. These have red eyes so I suspect they are albino. Acclimated quickly and are very active in the tank. I did have to change my filter intake to a smaller grate due to the size of the young fish, which are growing nicely.

I don't know what I was expecting when I got these guys, but I've seen them before and knew I would have some eventually, and they haven't disappointed, very personable, with their own personalities. Cant describe all their antics since it would take to long, best part, within a week they were already eating out of my hand! Love all the fish in this tank but these guys go out of their way to make them my favorite. Cant recommend them enough!
