Elevate your freshwater aquarium with our Painted Fire Red Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. "Fire Red"), known as the high-grade cherry shrimp variant. These mesmerizing shrimp captivate with their fire red coloration. With their adaptable disposition, they thrive in a variety of tank setups, effortlessly enhancing any tank whether their fully planted tanks or community setups. Not just stunning, Painted Fire Red Shrimp also serve a practical purpose as they're great algae eaters helping to keep your tank clean and balanced. Breeding readily in suitable conditions, they offer a fascinating glimpse into the natural world of aquatic reproduction. These shrimp are one of the highest grades with a step up above Fire Red Shrimp. Below you can see the grading scale for this variety of shrimp.
The grading of cherry shrimp is as follows:
Cherry shrimpin general refers to the lowest grade of Red Neocaridina aquarium shrimp. Regular cherry shrimp are generally pretty clear.
Sakura cherry shrimp are a more intense red color. While still possessing clear patches, Sakura shrimp are more solid in color than regular cherry shrimp.
Fire red shrimp is the next grade and refers to shrimp that are completely red. Fire Red shrimp are the second to highest grade.
Painted fire red shrimp are completely solid in color and have no transparent patches. Painted fire red shrimp usually have red legs as well.
Coloration exceeded my expectations! These shrimp have become the focal point of my newly established tank. The color “pops” and your eyes are drawn to them. Awesome!
I shopped around and clearly Flip Aquatics has the best selection at the most competitive prices. I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of shrimp that I received (10+2). As of two weeks after receipt, all 12 are still going strong and are enjoying their new home.
I highly recommend Flip Aquatics.
All arrived alive and well. Nice coloring on all of them. There seems to be a mix of male and female, based on my amateur sleuthing.
I ordered a bunch of Ember Tetras and Painted Fire Shrimp for my 15 gallon. They came fast and packed well! Absolutely love the color and life in my tank now!
I have ordered from you guys before and received better looking adult shrimp, however this time the colors were not great and must of the shrimp were juvenile. I lost three of the shrimp since the acclimation process I guess that should be a bright side. Not sure if I will never order again but this time was not a good one.
