Sailfin Molly Fish

The Sailfin Molly, also called the Yucatan Molly or Giant Sailfin Molly, is best known for the male’s tall, flowing dorsal fin that looks like a sail! When fully grown, they can reach around 4 inches, making them one of the larger molly types. Despite their size, Sailfin Mollies are peaceful and outgoing, making them a great fit for mixed community aquariums. They do best when kept in groups as they're social fish.

Like all mollies, Sailfin Mollies are livebearers, meaning females give birth to live fryinstead of laying eggs. Watching a group of these fish swim together, with males showing off their large dorsal fins, adds plenty of movement and interest to a tank. Hardy and adaptable, they are a solid choice for both new and experienced hobbyists!

We give each Molly at least two weeks of expert care before shipping, then pack them in breather bags inside recycled‑foam boxes.
