Glass Guppy

The Glass Guppy, also known as the Blue Glassy Guppy, is a beautiful freshwater fish with a blue body and translucent scales that reflect light. Glass Guppies are peaceful by nature and thrive in community aquariums alongside other non-aggressive fish species. They are also active swimmers, adding life and movement to the aquarium without causing disruption. Their ability to coexist well with tank mates and their low-maintenance care requirements make them an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their freshwater setup.

Avoid housing them with large or aggressive fish that may nip at their fins.

4. Does the Glass Guppy breed easily?
Yes, Glass Guppies are livebearers and are known for their prolific breeding. Females can give birth to 20-50 fry every 4-6 weeks. If you want to control breeding, keep only males or separate females into a different tank. For fry survival, provide plenty of plants or hiding spots.

While live plants are not required, they provide several benefits, such as oxygenation, hiding spots, and improving water quality. Easy plants like Java Moss, Anubias, and Hornwort pair well with guppies.

8. What size tank do I need for Glass Guppies?
A 10-gallon tank is the minimum recommended size for a small group of 5-6 Glass Guppies. Larger tanks are always better, as they provide more swimming space and allow for easier maintenance.

Nice Guppies

First time I am using FlipAquatics and the three Blue Glass female Guppies I purchased arrived safe and alive. The only thing I wish they would have done was to use a bigger bag and not tighten the bag so low. They also put a knot on the bottom which for me made it a little difficult to get them out of the bag. I managed it and they are doing fine so far in there new tank.

Great Guppies

This is a really great place to find hardy guppies. They arrived in good health and are continuing to thrive. And very beautiful as well. We've had trouble keeping guppies before, but so far, they're doing great. Looking forward to lots of babies
