Red Rili shrimp have the rili pattern (color in the head and tail with a clear midsection). The Red Rili shrimp has red coloration like the Cherry shrimp.
The Red Rili is a color morph of the cherry shrimp. It was developed around 2010 and has since been stabilized. As far as care is concerned, Red Rili shrimp accept the same conditions as cherry shrimp and other Neocaridina shrimp. Although they are bred from Cherries, due to selective breeding these shrimp are a little more sensitive to tank parameters and fluctuations. They are still, what we would consider, beginner shrimp and fairly easy to care for. The shrimp will be healthy and near breeding age.
