The Albino Cory is a popular corydoras species known for its pale, almost translucent body and bright red eyes. This hardy catfish spends most of its time on the tank bottom, using its whisker-like barbels to sift through sand or fine gravel in search of food. Its scavenging nature makes it a great cleanup crew member, helping to keep leftover pellets and detritus from building up.
These peaceful fish do best in groups of six or more, where they feel secure and display their natural schooling behavior. Albino Corys are gentle community members, happily coexisting with tetras, rasboras, and other non-aggressive species. They thrive in well-oxygenated water with a mild current, and accept a varied diet of sinking pellets, wafers, and occasional frozen or live foods. With simple care and friendly habits, the Albino Cory is an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
