The scientific name for the Rainbow Shiner is: Notropis chrosomus
We feed our Rainbow Shiners a mix of frozen foods including daphnia, baby brine and cyclops. We occasionally feed them a blend of Northfin Veggie, Bug Pro, Kelp and Community. Will accept live foods if prepared.

Fish were extremely well packed and came through in terrific shape. After acclimatization settled in quickly with their new tank mates and quickly colored up with their vibrantly colored bodies always on the move together in a school. They are extremely curious as they explore every corner and niche in the aquarium, are constantly on the move and readily accept flake, frozen and live foods. . Really doing well from the git go.
I couldn't be happier with these shiners. They arrived larger than I thought and all are fat and healthy.
