Arrived quickly and all of the shrimp were alive! One was even berried and they all looked fantastic.
They arrived promptly and in good condition and are now enjoying their new tank.
I am very pleased with my order. I received 11 of the 12 shipped to me (one perished during shipping). I acclimated as instructed and added them into my tank. I had some additional losses and the team at Flip Aquatics worked with me to figure out the problem and a solution that I'm super pleased with. The surviving shrimp are doing amazing and I saw a heavily berried shrimp today.
Overall, I would give the purchase and customer service five stars. I will definitely order my shrimp and shrimp supplies from Flip Aquatics again.
Great shrimp great customer service. Hard to beat them.
Received 12 shrimp (ordered 10) and all 12 arrived healthy and uninjured, one of them even arrived pregnant. Two seem to have molted recently given they were mostly clear/white, but I'm sure they'll regain color. Very satisfied with the color of the shrimp, they look just like the images aside from the two that molted. They were delivered in 8 degree Fahrenheit weather and the heat pack was cold with the water being roughly 60 degrees, more than good enough for them to be ok on delivery but it did take about 3 hours to get to room temperature (70 degrees) before I started acclimation. This was my first time starting an aquarium, so I was worried about getting my water to the right initial quality but so far they don't show any signs of stress and the acclimation process was easy enough. The water I added to the aquarium was soft tap water with GH/KH+ minerals, shrimp prep, API quick start, and a tiny bit of plant fertilizer. The aquarium was cycling for almost a week before the shrimp arrived, and I chose to use a sponge filter. I'm feeding them algae tablets and they seem to really like it. I didn't know if they came with a small acclimation kit so I didn't order one and since it did not come with one I used a pipette for about 45 minutes to manually drip acclimate (a bit tedious but it got the job done). Half way through acclimation I did remove some of the temporary water in order to reduce the amount of dilution and get the water quality closer to what the aquarium is at as more water was added.
