Leopard Danio

Leopard Danios are active, hardy schooling fish with a fun spotted pattern that really stands out in a freshwater aquarium. They are very similar to Zebra Danios, but instead of stripes, they have a leopard like spotted pattern across their body!

These fish are fast, playful, and always on the move, making them a great choice for adding activity to the top and middle levels of the tank. Leopard Danios do best in groups of 6 or more and are a great option for beginner and community aquariums!

Please note: You may receive either the short fin or longfin variety. They are the same species, just with different fin lengths.

They are peaceful, easy to care for, and can handle a wide range of water conditions, which makes them a favorite for hobbyists of all experience levels. For the best behavior, keep them in a group of 6 or more.

We feed our danios with a diverse range of foods, and they readily accept almost any offering. This includes live foods like daphnia and baby brine shrimp, as well as NorthFin flake foods. Additionally, we offer a mix of NorthFin Community, Veggie, Bug Pro, and Kelp, ensuring a well-rounded diet for these delightful fish.
