Introducing the Dwarf Emerald Rasbora - Stunning Nano Fish from Myanmar!

The Dwarf Emerald Rasbora, scientifically known as Microrasbora erythromicron, is a captivating nano species hailing from Myanmar. This small yet peaceful fish adds elegance to any aquarium. In small numbers, they tend to be shy, emphasizing the importance of keeping them in larger groups.

As a shoaling fish, Dwarf Emerald Rasboras thrive in planted setups, where they can showcase their mesmerizing colors. Their teal and blue hues, adorned with hints of red and orange, create a striking visual display in your aquatic sanctuary.

To ensure the well-being of these timid fish, we recommend keeping them in groups of 10 or more. By providing a sense of security and companionship, they become more active and showcase their natural behaviors, enhancing the overall appeal of your aquarium.

Originating from the margins of mountainous lakes abundant with lush vegetation, the Dwarf Emerald Rasbora flourishes in well-planted aquariums. Recreating their natural habitat with ample greenery and suitable hiding spots fosters their comfort and happiness. Please note that they prefer more alkaline water conditions and may not thrive in acidic setups.

In their natural environment, Dwarf Emerald Rasboras feed on microorganisms and small insects. To replicate their diet, offering a varied and nutritious menu is crucial. At Flip Aquatics, we prioritize the health of our fish. Providing them with a balanced diet ensures their vitality and longevity.

For your peace of mind, we offer a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when you choose the FedEx Overnight (1 Day) shipping option for fish shipments. This ensures that your Dwarf Emerald Rasboras arrive in optimal condition.

Shy Beauties

I’m a fan of Flip Aquatics and learned some valuable tips from their YouTube Channel. Every fish I got so far arrived healthy and quarantined which is a big benefit of buying their fish. As for these lil shy colorful fish.. I cannot buy these locally and would love to breed them soon so plan to buy more once I have a bigger tank cycled. I am going to do a black water set up for them and my exclamation Ras.. These guys I feel are playing peekaboo with me and I have to be still in order to look at them. Pics don’t do them justice bc they are very vibrant and color up right away. I never kept fish this small so it’s new and fascinated me. They seem to have made my kuli loaches more comfy, like a dither fish for them which is super cool bc prior to that I didn’t see the loaches very much. I got my kulies from Flip also and X Rasbora too. It is my shy fish tank for sure and I want to work on making them comfy so adding more of each specie and dark tannins along with the heavy plants which they have now.. I’m hoping to see them come out more. Flip has great fish and botanicals and so I highly recommend. My LFS is good for some things but I prefer to order online from places that quarantine like Flip! Here is some pics of their home! Not the best pics but you can see my loaches chillin front and center and that’s all day long which is great! The fish hide in the moss and lurk. They must have great eye sight, I might add! Any sudden move and they are back in the plants hiding 😂

Just like the photo

I received some that are just like the photo and some that are less bright. I am assuming the less colorful ones are females. They arrived alive and well. The packing was quite good also. I can’t get a great pic as they really zip around in the plants. But here are a couple photos of what you can expect your fish to arrive in. Also, the Swedish fish was a nice touch. Got a chuckle out of that one.
