You will receive five (5) fantasy blue dream shrimp. Whether you buy imported and USA bred blues, they both have amazing coloration. Our imported fantasy blues are usually larger in size. Our USA Bred fantasy blue shrimp average in size around a half of an inch or smaller. The USA Bred shrimp acclimate better and have a higher survival rate compared to imported shrimp. Fantasy blues are a great beginner aquarium shrimp and they have amazing coloration. They are one of the hardiest shrimp we keep in the shrimp room.
Despite the beautiful appearance of fantasy blues, the genetics behind the color can be pretty confusing. Blue dream is the name most hobbyists use for all shrimp with a deep blue coloration. While most blue dream pet shrimp look similar, they come from a number of different genetic lines and backgrounds. Our blue dreams are a fantastic blue color and breed fairly true. They are almost solid blue and black in coloration while some do show the rili pattern.
Blue dreams show best color while being kept on black substrate. Why this occurs is due to the fact that shrimp in general try to blend into their environment. Therefore, blue shrimp will darken in an attempt to have natural camouflage. On white substrate they will try to bleach their color and be more transparent. It is ideal to keep blue dreams on a darker substrate due to fact.
The care for blue dreams is typical of most Neocaridina species. They do not require special attention and tend to be accepting of a multitude of water parameters. Although, we suggest keeping parameters close to what we keep them in:

This was my first ever live order! I received my shrimp on March 8th. All 6 arrived alive and very active! One of the shrimp was even already berried! I have had them exactly 2 weeks. I just spotted my first baby shrimp today! As well as another berried female! So I know for a fact I have 2 females and at least one male! Which is just perfect! 10/10 recommend.
I order some shrimp, and during shipping ,storms caused delays. As a result, none of the shrimp arrived alive. I notified Flip, and sent the required pictures. They provided a complete replacement at no cost. That guarantee is something we don’t see much of in many places today. So, not only do they have good quality livestock, but they also have great customer service.
I've always been hesitant ordering live things online during winter months, but with Flip's reviews and reputation decided to give it a try. The package was packed amazingly, all creatures (+ the extras) were all alive and well. I followed their acclimation videos on Youtube which worked great and in no time the little guys/gals were zooming all over my tank. A couple weeks in, and I think one might have eggs already! Thank you Flip Aquatics... I'll be placing my next order soon (don't tell my wife!).

I ordered 2 sets of 5 fantasy blue shrimp. When they shipped it was within 24 hours of them leaving the store that I received them which was nice considering colder weather here in Wisconsin. The shrimp are a rich blue all 10 I bought were in great health. They gave me +2 in case of some died but both of them were healthy as well and as a bonus 2 tiny little stowaways made it alive so I got 14 shrimp. They seem to love the new tank. I would 100% buy again for the quality and the care of these shrimp. Don’t hesitate. These are high grade shrimp. I’ve seen some that aren’t nearly as blue or healthy looking. They are smaller but that’s what I wanted because I like to watch them grow, however they aren’t too small. If I set up another tank I will return.
