Gold mystery snails are a personal favorite here at Flip Aquatics. The color of the shell and snail stands out in an aquarium and is somewhat a nice yellow color. Mystery snails have become a huge part of Flip Aquatics due to their many benefits for breeding and keeping shrimp. The following reasons are why we have found these snails to be a crucial part of our shrimp tanks:
Mystery snails are from the genus Ampullariidae. They originate from South America and are extremely peaceful. In a shrimp tank, they are the gentile giant. The only downside to mystery snails is that their main diet in the wild is from feeding on dying vegetation. This means that mystery snails will not eat healthy plants. They will feed on dying plants or leaves that have fallen off the plant. These snails will thrive off of leaf matter. The snail feces is believed to be beneficial to shrimp and their overall health. There are over 120 species of snails with the Ampullariidae family.
Please note: During shipping, snails sometimes go into a hibernation-like state and may not become fully active for up to a week once acclimated to your aquarium.

Love seeing my Gold Mystery Snails in my tanks! Highly recommend.
Received 3 super healthy mystery snails. After a few days they were cruising through the tank. Would definitely recommend!!
I'm really pleased with my FOUR gold mystery snails. Within a minute or so of releasing them after acclimating them to my water, they were exploring their new home and munching on algae and dying plant material in the tank. They're great additions to my 29gal. tank. I'll be setting up a 55gal soon and will be ordering more from Flip Aquatics in the future.
I do wish there was a little air in the bags though. I haven't figured out how to open them without water spurting out, or the occupant(s) of the bag rushing out into the receptacle I use to acclimate them to my water. Have you guys done a video on this, or am I just being stupid...it wouldn't be the first time.
Love my mystery snails
They are so active cleaning every nook and cranny
They all arrived safely and alive as did all the fish and shrimp. The shrimp very small. Hopefully they will find hiding places and live until they are larger.
I ordered similar items from another company and only got part of the order. I did get a refund for the unsent fish, but never even got a reply as to why the ones I wanted most did not come. At least Flip send everything I ordered. Thank you FA. BTY the other place has 75% 1 reviews. I wish I had known that before I ordered from them. Now, I know who to order from as soon as they get the fish I really want.
