Purple Metallic Tiger shrimp are a rare and eye catching Caridina Shrimp. No two shrimp look exactly the same and that’s honestly one of the coolest things about this variety! Some have really bold tiger striping, while others show more of a smoky, metallic gradient across the body. Their color can range from a deep, rich purple to a brighter, more reflective metallic type sheen depending on age, lighting, and genetics.
We usually sell these shrimp at around half an inch in size. Smaller shrimp tend to acclimate much easier to new tanks and will typically reach breeding age within about a month of receiving them.
