Pure Black Line Shrimp

You will receive Pure Black Line shrimp, also known as PBL. The shrimp you will receive will be sub-adults, having a size of around half of an inch (.5 inches). The dwarf shrimp generally range from S to SS grade in pattern.

Please note: These shrimp are still in their 30 day holding period. Orders containing pre-ordered shrimp will not ship until your entire order is ready to ship. These orders will begin shipping on 1/20 and will be shipped in the order they were received.

The Pure Black Line Crystal Shrimp (PBL) was introduced into the US market in early 2014. What separated PBL from normal crystal black shrimp was the fact that they were pure. Meaning, they had never been bred with golden bee shrimp to enhance the shrimp coloration. It is common practice for crystal breeders to use golden shrimp to enhance the overall white coloration of their crystal colonies. Therefore, PBL were developed through selective breeding over many generations.
