Sponge tank dividers are the perfect way to keep more types of shrimp in an aquarium. Most hobbyists are limited on space, here is our solution. Tank dividers can be used to separate shrimp of the same species but with different color variations. The divider prevents interbreeding.

I purchased this to be able to keep two colors of neocaridina separate in one tank for increased water stability. My water is still cycling, so I’ll come back after there’s been a few months of breeding, however, I have had a great experience with this product so far. It’s quality and porous enough that when I poured water in one side, the other side filled up equally as fast. I also had some confusion on install, since there weren’t instructions specifying if/how to prep it before install, and Flip Aquatics was very fast and detailed in their response!

Perfectly cut for the Aqueon 10 gallon. The filter goes all the way to the Aqueon lid! Water flows through it but definitely slows the movement from the HOB on the opposite side. I added an airstone to the shrimp side and they seem to really like it. A separate sponge filter would also work. The 2" width is large but very sturdy.

it was definitely thicker than I expected but it looks great!! Cut a few slits with box cuter to increase water flow to the side without a filter, but besides that it’s perfect!!!
