Sweet Flag Acorus Calamus Variegatus

Variegated Sweet Flag is scientifically known as Sweet Flag Acorus Calamus and it's a really nice plant for adding height, texture, and contrast around patio ponds and other shallow water features. The long blade like leaves have a striped look that make it stand out without being too much. If you want something that looks clean but still has that soft pond- plant vibe, this is a great one to work in!

We like Sweet Flag because it does a great job filling in the edges of patio ponds and water gardens. It grows upright and pairs really well with trailing or floating plants. Variegated Sweet Flag is especially nice if you want to break up all the greens with a little extra color and pattern while still keeping the whole setup looking natural.
