Their active nature ensures they will always catch your eye in the aquarium, making them an ideal choice for planted tanks. For a group of 6-8 Melon Barbs, we recommend a minimum tank size of 30-40 gallons to accommodate their schooling behavior.

Tank Recommendations
Fish were extremely well packed and came through in terrific shape. After acclimatization settled in quickly with their new tank mates and started poking their noses into everything, but caused no real trouble. Easily the most active fish in the tank, extremely curious they explore every corner and niche in the tank, are constantly on the move and readily accept flake, frozen and live foods being first to the top at feeding time. Really doing well from the git go.
Barbs came in strong and healthy - and I got an extra for a total of 7! They are like 1.5” puppy dogs <3 Having them all arrive in one bag made me nervous, but all arrived healthy and strong. Also got 10 green neons and 6 Orange shrimp - all alive and doing well. thank you for the extras!!
Love these fish! all fish came in healthy. They colored up quickly. They have great personalities and are doing well in my "Barb" Tank (odessa, gold and cherry in the tank as well)
These guys already greet me at the tank and have colored up nicely. Picked up 10 and they are all over my 75 gallon.
I ordered ten red panda barbs that all came big and healthy, so I ordered seven more(which also came big and healthy). I'll be ordering from Flip Aquatics again.
